The Brief

The project was to support The Carlyle Group with their relocation from Berkley Square and to supply bespoke veneered joinery, meeting room tables and high end loose furniture inline with the architects specification to ensure continuity across all of Carlyle's global locations.

The Solution

Being the successful candidates from a rigorous tender process we were faced with an immediate lead-time constraint to deliver the meeting room tables in time for the pre scheduled AV installation. Quickly establishing a good relationship with all members of the team was key to hitting the tight delivery dates as well as allocating more resource to the project at the front end to give the client the support they needed.

We were very impressed with how quickly Wagstaff mobilised this project, prioritising urgent requirements and juggling long lead-times whilst still negotiating the most competitive prices Marion Dalley

Project Insight

80% of the project was real wood veneer case goods, working with the client we focused on selecting the best candidate for this element in terms of price, quality, flexibility and after sale service.

W J White emerged to be the most suitable choice and after a full office mock up was produced and agreed, they were set to work to meet the program.

Working sympathetically with the architect and client we worked through all the beautiful loose furniture options specified to make final choices and offered alternatives to bring the whole package in under budget.

we even dedicated our entire showroom to Carlyle so they could see all the furniture options in one place side by side to help them to make final decisions.

Multiple supplier deliveries were collated at our local regional distribution hub, whilst fragile and larger items were delivered direct to site all deliveries were scheduled with the loading bay.

We worked with the client to tailor the install to individual employees requirements for over 200 staff.
